2010 AMMS Reunion - 50th Anniversary of the Hound Dog Missile
|
- What: The AMMS Alumni reunion will be conducted in Bossier City and Barksdale AFB, LA community.
- When: The reunion will be conducted 12 – 16 April 2010.
- Schedule: 12 April, arrival and check into rooms and meet and greet in the hospitality suite (Hosted by Gary Jansonius, Bobby Balient and their wives), Located in the Boomtown Casino Hotel.
- 13 April, attend a picnic at Cullen Park on Barksdale AFB beginning at noon.
- 14 April, Golf on BAFB (for those who wish to play), or visit some of the many Tourist attractions within the community.
- 15 April, 1800 hours, cocktail hour followed by dinner at the Boomtown Casino Hotel.
- 16 April, 0900 departing breakfast, for those who elect to attend. Note: Hosted by Tom Milam and wife Shirley.
- General Info: Registration fee will be $45.00 per person, Note: this is the same price as for the last two reunions.

AIRBORNE MISSILE MAINTENANCE SQUADRON
(AMMS) ALUMNI REUNION
- What: The AMMS Alumni reunion will be conducted in Bossier City and Barksdale AFB, LA community.
- When: The reunion will be conducted 14-17 April 2008.
- Schedule: 14 April, arrival and check into rooms and meet and greet in the hospitality suite, Located in the Boomtown Casino Hotel.
- 15 April, attend a picnic at Cullen Park on Barksdale AFB beginning at noon.
- 16 April Golf on BAFB, if so desired, or visit some of the many Tourist attractions within the community.
- 16 April, 1800 hours, cocktail hour followed by dinner at the Club (the Officers Club) on BAFB.
- 17 April, 0900 departing breakfast, for those who elect to attend. Note: Pay for your own.
- General Info: Registration fee will be $45.00 per person, Note: this is the same price as for the last reunion.
- Travel: If you’re flying in and need a rental car, call Tom Milam (Milam Kars, a fellow missileer) at 1-318-742-7391
- Lodging: There are numerous Motels/Hotels within the local area with five casino hotels. Prices vary as well as condition and location. We will block a number of rooms at the Boomtown Casino, Phone: 1-866-462-8696 (price for room approx $66.00 which includes tax) as this is where the hospitality suite will be and we recommend using it, therefore no travel to and from the hospitality suite. There is also a Recreational Vehicle and Camper area on BAFB with six camping trailers for rent ($30.00). Some are pet friendly.

2007 - 4080/100 SRW Reunion

Dates: November 9,10, and 11, 2007 (Veterans Day Weekend) In Tucson AZ.
Hotel of choice: Ramada Foothills. 6944 E. Tanque Verde Road (At Sabino)
Accommodations: Free Breakfast buffet & evening social hour with complimentary beverage and snacks. High Speed Internet, 25” color T.V. with 50 channels, refrigerator and microwaves in all rooms and suites, free in room coffee pots. Prices were especially arranged for our reunion @ 69.95 plus tax, and Suites @ 89.95 plus tax (First come first served) A heated pool and hot tub are in the court yard. IF YOU WANT A SMOKING ROOM PLEASE SO NOTE ON THE REGISTRATION FORM.
The AMARC tour, Tubac tour, and Desert JEEP tour will leave from this motel.
If you desire a room at another location, you are on your own for accommodations.
Friday, Nov. 9th
AMARC tour will leave from the Ramada hotel about 1:30pm go to the Pima Air Museum, pick up the docent/guide then proceed to DMAFB for our own guided tour. We will return to the hotel about 4pm.
MEET and GREET 6-10pm at DAV #2, 3455 S. Wilmot. Immediately North of the Wilmot gate (by the DM Hospital) no transportation is being provided, SORRY.
A NO HOST bar set up for our personal use at REASONABLE prices, and a western Buffet with BBQ chicken (Hanoi Hen), Beef (Bien Hoa Buffalo), and Pork (Baby back pork ribs), along with salad, George’s Western beans, dessert and drinks will be presented by Chef Al Foster beginning around 6:30pm.
Saturday Nov. 10th
Golf Tournament will kick off at 12:30pm (Sorry, couldn’t get the course any earlier) on DMAFB . Cart is included in the price; awards will be presented at the dinner Banquet.
Desert Jeep Tour; Leave from the hotel at 9:30 am A professional guide will take you to a private ranch (5,000 acres)near the Saguaro National Park East. You will learn more about the cactus, history of the area, foliage and fauna, than you ever knew while you lived here. Water, sodas, and beer will be provided in on board coolers. Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes, you will return around 1pm.
Tubac shopping Tour; Bus will leave the hotel shortly after 9:30am. Tubac is like a trip to Nogales Mexico only closer, safer, and more convenient. You won’t believe how Tucson has spread to the South.
REUNION at PIMA AIR MUSEUM 5:30 to 9:30 pm. We will be in hanger #3 after the museum closes to the general public. Catered Buffet with a southwest accent, and program featuring a display of photos sent in by our own personnel, of aircraft, people, and places. All set to music and put on CD. (Available for purchase if you like it). We must be out of the museum by 9:30 pm so clean-up can ready for the next day. Reunion festivities will continue at the DAV hall on South Wilmot near the DM Wilmot gate, for those who aren’t done partying yet. You will be allowed entry and nothing formal is planned.
SUNDAY Nov. 11th
Sunday Farewell Brunch 9am to 11:30am at the DAV on South Wilmot.
